F3 rearset installation
hey guys i recently took a spill and my rearset and brake leve got bent. ordered new rearset on ebay and it came with everything including mastercylinder and the brakefluid reservor thing.
when i first bought it i assumed it was just a bolt on bolt off deal. but after look at the new rearset doesnt seem easy to take it apart. so my question is is there a way to install the rearset and brake lever without messing with the mastercylinder much or the brakefluid/lines?

RE: F3 rearset installation
ok got everything off but kinda confsued on how to take the mastercylinder off . would it be easier to just use the old cylinder and just replace the fluid? is so? how do i do that? also on top the MC theres a cable thats conected to the rearbrake. i would just have to take that bolt off and put the cable on the new MC no?

... This is one of the easiest things to do. You don't need to replace anything dealing with the mastercylinder or the brake lines (Unless they got dmg). You could keep your old ones. You don't even have disconnect the brake lines or anything. The lock pin connected to the end of the brake lever, take it apart and remember how it goes. Then the mastercyclinder is free from the rear set. If all you are replacing is the rearset with the brake lever, make sure the springs on the new rearset is there for the rebound and brake sensor. All you have to do is connect the mastercyclinder to the new rear set. Slide it over the rod and fasten it down with the, bolt up the mastercyclinder to the new rearset, install rearset, and ride.

RE: F3 rearset installation
ok finished the job but now when itry using the rearbrake idont feel anything at all only the spring. when i took bolt off the top of the master cylinder a little brake fluid came out. would that cause this? if so how can i fix? just put fluid back in reservoir?
