Talking F3 racer almost ready

Well, ive been doing track day forever now so diceded to start racing in Pre'97 class next year (2010). Starting converting my F3 a few weeks back as i got the parts.
So far, race fairings, thicker oil in forks, F4i rear shock, quick shifer, Jeted, Full micron, Rear set JackUp plates, Fireblade RRY (2000) master brake cilinder, S/S brake lines, probably something else as well. All the mods including Quick Shifer Kill box (based on a microprosessor) done by me so plenty of work went into this. Just need to respray the fairings and lock wire few bits and she is ready to a bash on the track.

The tail was the yeasy part. Just had to cut left and right sides for them to go under the tank. The rest...almost 5 hours work to fit them properly. Plenty of cutting and drilling but the end result is as good as anything.
Front was a bit too low so couldnt line up top upper and lower pieces together. Was a gap of about an inch or so. Had to cut my screen too and lower it as there was a gap as well.
All done now thank god. Just finished holes for frame sliders.
Got fairings of ebay croud called a16roadnrace. Very nice lad there Paul. Full set with fasteners for 200 GBP. Quality is good as well and not too expencive shipping.

if you're racing it you're going to want to put a penske/ohlins/fox shock on that thing. looks good though

On race bikes most people use self adhesive seat foam which i have. It just goes on the tail unit where the seat would be otherwise. You can get same tail with the cut out for standard 600RR seat but in my case its easyer and cheaper the way i have it done.

I wish i had the dosh for it. F4i shock feels good though and the rear is a bit higher which is a good thing for the track (faster turning).
