Default F3 race tyres

well F2 really, but i have an F3 wheel.

I'm about to start racing my F2 in the UK and i stumbled across a forum post in the USA which spoke about a class called V7 where these bikes are still raced.

I can run any tyres I want and the forum post was talking of running 165 rear slicks. Which i can get much cheaper than 180's. So does anyone know what tyres the fast guys in this class are running?

thanks

180 is a bit wide for our rim... 170 is the highest I'd recommend going...

They don't make decent/sticky race tyres in 170. Its 180, 190 or 165 gp250 slicks.

I run a Bridgestone medium compound DOT front and a 165 B'stone medium compound rear slick.I do endurance racing, not sprint racing. If your racing sprints, use a soft compound front.

cheers for the info. I'll be running sprint races, so will go for the softer tyres. I have a pair of dunlop gp250 slicks and 600 size diablo's so will test all 3 at some point. I also have a 3.75 front wheel to play with
