Well I have to apologize I commented on the earlier post about your problem I def agree with Jveach reg/rec and after seeing it that is what was wrong with my yamadog not the kickstand kill sorry too many bikes lol

No problem, yea Im ordering a R/R, but the plug looks fried also. Should I purchase a starter relay also?

What battery are you hooking it up to ? Try using the battery from your car. See if that makes a difference. If it does, I'm thinking battery. If it doesn't, I'd see about rebuilding that starter. New brushes and cleaning and lubing the bearings. Also check windings for for shorts.

I got it running!! replaced R/R, new battery, and a new starter solenoid relay. It fired up strong. i will post a vid soon.

I figured the starter was just weak because you where testing it off the bikes power, and well low charge it won't turn very fast, and not at all in the bike.

yea. i was testing it off a swollen battery. I bought another harness, all I need to do now is change that burnt plug. While running it produced 14.4 volts, so I'm assuming the stator is ok. BTW do u have the rear fender/tire hugger for a f3? maybe a chain guard cover?
