Default F3 Maintenance Questions

So, If one were to buy a 1997 F3 with NO service history/service information, what service would you do to it right when you buy it, and more importantly, HOW do you do the maintenance...?

I do my own maintenance on my cars, but this is my first bike, and it is filthy dirty, and I don't know when or if any maintenance has been done.

Here's a list of the things I'm planning on doing, and I'll update as I get replies:

Oil/Filter Change (I don't know how to do this, a DIY link would be sweet)
Clean the Carb(s) (I have NO clue how to do this, so I'll need a DIY)
Clean the Wheels
Clean the Chain (Found a DIY about this)
Clean off the sticker residue (I peeled off all the Orange Vinyl off the bike, but now I can't get the sticky goo off)
Get the Mirrors put on...

Now, What else should I do? Does the transmission fluid get changed? Plugs? Info/Advice please

Oil change, maybe brake fluid change, radiator Flush and liquid change. check and clean chain and make sure it isn't loose. check tire tread and pressure.

Basically a tune up

these are the things I would do.

Bike shop. Go get your stuff at a bike shop. Might cost more but it is designed for your bike. Here is one in your town.

I love AandB but they are pretty far away...

I went to the local Yamaha/Zuki/Kawi Dealer, and got some things... I got a filter, come chain polish/wax, and the sticker residue remover.

Gonna go to Auto Parts Store later to get the oil...

I was told to NOT use Full Synthetic oil in this bike... so I should just buy 4-Stroke, 10W-40?

Also, how does one clean the carbs (Sea Foam?) and Change the Fork Seals?

I use K&N filters/ or hi-flow from ebay, and fully synthetic 5w-40 rotella 6t synthetic. That oil is cheap (17 bucks at walmart) and honestly works brilliantly.

K&N Filters are what I prefer for my cars... so I'll likely stick to them on the bike. However, how do I clean the carb? I have heard put seafoam in it, but I don't know how to do that...

I'll take a look at that oil. I'm going to walmart tonight when my wife gets off work.

Also, how does one do a Fork Seal replacement?
