stock housing, it is a drop in H4 bulb replacement. I've left it on sitting still for a while and heat buildup does not seem to be a problem - the F2/F3 headlight housing is pretty big inside.

is there any issue with the scattered pattern? i thought most people didn't throw HIDs on a non-projector headlight for that reason.

I haven't had any problems. the light pattern looks pretty good to me, def brighter than the halogen, with a well defined cutoff on the low beam.

I run highbeams all day and then at dusk I'll start getting some people flashing brights @ me. I switch to lows and no one flashes me anymore.

I have a DDMtuning kit for the H4 bulb if anyone wants it. All you need is to order a replacement bulb from DDMtuning. I'm swapping a 600RR front end onto the F3 i'm fixing and don't need it anymore. Everything still works, just the bulb housing is kinda mashed up. I'll even include the rubber backing i cut to fit the bulb. PM me.

55w is going to be brigter. you're supplying more juice to the setup. The range of color options differs as well as you can achieve a higher value with the higher rating.

Im running a fulltime dual 8k 35w on my new setup. I hope thats enough to see at night
