Looking at 105 HP at the wheel. Stock is around 95 HP at the wheel. With the over size pistons and race crank the cams timing will be the real key for power.

Just ordered the APE degree wheel and adjustable cam gears. Hopefully I'll have them middle of next week but with the holiday don't know.

 

Man, I would like to see the full potential this motor could do. Squeeze every Hp out of it. Throw it on a dyno and amaze us. You have my wheels turning.

 

The cylinder head going back on this weekend. UPS is dropping off the APE cam degree wheel and adjustable cam gears today.

 

more pics please!!! my 95 f3's vaccum lines and hoses and carb boots are all hard and lost elasticity, and i think im getting all kinds of leaks. are you completely redoing all those lines and hoses on your rebuild? or are you keeping your stock factory f3 lines and hoses and boots?

 

All my hoses and carb boots are fine. If your lines are hard, then they need replaced before they start cracking. The carb boots need some elasticity to them just to get them off. There's a spray that you can get to find leaks without taking everything apart. You let the bike idle and just start spray different areas. If there's a leak in that area, the motor either revs up or dies. Sorry can't remember. As for the hoses you can get by the foot for your local auto parts store. The boots, either dealer or check ebay.

Have you taken your air box off completely before?

First time I did, I noticed that the funny looking o-ring on top of the carbs was missing on 2 of them. Either factory forgot them or the first owner forgot to put them back in. I have a couple spares and may have some boots around here somewhere.

 

I'm going to get as much power as I can out of it. Well without making it a one race gernade. Starting to look at modifing the airbox for more air flow and pressure.

Planning on some dyno runs just to get the cam timing right. Local shop has a deal, 3 runs for $65. Not to bad considering some other prices I have seen before.
