F3 died on highway Need Help
I was cruising around 85+ in 5th when my bike just died. I started checking what I could think of t check. Bike is getting spark and cranking but seems like no fuel. The gas tank peckcock is fine the fuel filter works. How do I check the fuel pump to see if its working properly? Any ideas or suggetions? Thanks

Remove the back black cover of the fuel pump.1 small philips' head screw.Look at the contacts, they prolly need cleaning.400 grit sandpaper will clean them up,provided they aren't worn out.
Holla back.
Holla back.
Small black plastic rectangular thing bolted to the frame on the right side of the tail. Has wries coming out of it. THey have a tendancy to melt on your bike.
But anyway: How do you know the fuel filter works if you're unsure about the gas pump? How are you pumping gas through the filter? Did you bypass the pump to test the filter? If so, run a 12v line straight to the pump and see if it kicks in.

Same thing happened to my old '97 F3. It was the fuel filter. Easy fix man.

R/R is fine. I actually replaced it about 1-1/2 year ago. When I disconnect the fuel filter from the fuel pump and switch the gas tank petcock on fuel comes flowing out( I will replace anyway).
I need to 12v the pump still but internals are spotless.
I tried using starting fluid to see if would start up for a quick second and nothing still.
Please advise and thank you for all your help.
