Default Exhaust Mounting

I am getting ready to go for a 12 hour ride next week, and i currently have the moto GP pipe on my bike. Well i would like to put my Two Bros pipe back on since it will be mostly highway riding so i will not the idiot making everybody go deaf, or the guy who has to ride in the back of the line.
I have removed the passenger pegs which also aids in supporting the exhaust and i was wondering if i could just put the pipe back on and not use the rear peg or should i put the peg back on?
