Default Exhaust Help?

Hey everyone,
Heres my dilemma, last year I bought my '97 F3 with some garbage "Wileyco" exhaust. Anyone heard of it? Well I'm not really liking it, so Im lookin' for a cheap used exhaust, possibly D&D or Two Brothers. Also, right now its a bolt on- not sure how many bolts (its in storage at the moment), but what does it take if I buy a slip on? If anyone knows anyone looking to get rid of one in the CHICAGO area, or has good recommendations, let me know. I don't want anything too loud, but something that sounds good on an F3. Let me know, Thanks!

I have a D&D pipe and I love it to death.
Yes, it is incredibly loud at high rpms. I've gotten pulled over about 4 times this year (with no tickets) for "gunning it" where it sounded like I was killing the throttle even though I was going 25 commuting to school LOL.

Yoshimura pipes are my favorite.
Two Brothers are a good choice as well.

To me, and I have a friend with a 98 F3 just like mine with a D&D on it, they just sound loud and crappy. I personally prefer a more subtle pipe like the RS3, which only gets loud and throaty above 7k rpm or so.

It's probably a lot of personal preference.

I have a Jardine RT-1 that was on the bike when I bought it. Not very loud at idle but the guys I ride with tell me its very loud at WOT. I'm probably going to by a Yoshi after I get my header installed.

What's the best choice for a mellow (Throaty, not screaming) sounding slip on? The Two Brothers M2 & M5 have the optional "Power Tip" for quieting them down even more, necessary or overkill. At 40 I want something that sounds a bit better than stock,, and will give a bit of a horespower bump, but really don't want to sound like an F1 car when riding to work.

I have a Yoshi pipe and I love how it sounds. Yoshi seems to have a signature sound that everyone knows... come to think of it, why do they sound the way they do? Is it the baffles?

Spend the coin and get Akrapovic, you'll never want anything else...especially D&D.
