Nope, I've not used it, or heard of it for that matter. But reading over the information, it sounds interesting. I seems like it would do a nice job on the headers. Let us know how it turns out. Photo's would be great if you can (before and after).

Good luck...

So, what prompted this. Isyours looking bad, rusty, or just looking to spruce it up a bit ? What is you thinking on how you're going to do it ? Brush-on or Spray ? Doing the entire exhaust system or just part ?

Hey Bill... well my bike is kinda like new...except since she was about 4 years old (she's 10 now) I've been battling with the original headers getting rusty while the rest of the system looks new. I removed the lower fairings, rad etc before and with wire brushes and emery (plus broken nails) I've rubbed them back to pitted but shiny metal, applied various heat proof black paints only to see it all fall off again...albeit a year or so later.

I don't want them to rust through as I am happy with the bike as stock and it's the only thing that let's it down...if I can keep them well painted I'm sure they'll last, they feel totally solid still :-)

Have you considered any of the ceramic coatings that are available ? Naturally it's more expensive to go that route but I understand it lasts virtually forever. My wifes F3 has a full set of headers on hers and it's looking rusty. Depending on how yours turn out, I might consider using that method. What's your timeframe to doing it ?

Sorry Bill...missed this post...I intend to get the lower fairings etc off and the pipes rubbed down in one day and then painted up another...if I had sent off for the paint in time I would have liked to do it this Easter weekend while I am off work...

Not sure when now...
