hey guys,
my problem is on my 1997 cbr 600 f3. when i tryed to start it for the first time.it wont start.let it sit for about 15min it would try.but wont.let sit then try again.finally start.after that first start.it starts fine until sit for a long time.i thought it was the carbs.changed them.nothing.no water in the oil. pulled head looked at head gasket looks good to me.checked cylinder walls.seem smooth no bad scaring.put hand over piston turned over it sucks my hand down so i guess i have compression. my question whats next?

There are a few things, plugs, battery, air filter etc, sounds like your ok with that sort of thing (hope you torqued the head back down properly
.
There are the gremlins, like the reg being cactus, but really its just a matter of going through the usual list of causes. Happy hunting

couple of hours.but like i said if i try and start it then let it sit for a few then try again. about the third time of letting it sit for 5 to 10 mins it finally starts again. yes the choke is pulled out. i was told low compression is the reason its hard to start. due to head gasket may be blown on exhaust side . im going to try a new gasket and go from there.oh and after it starts its like it takes awhile to catch up.like its ilde.then when it catches up it throttles fine.
