Engine overheating, coolant boiling?
The other day I was riding I stopped and let the bike idle for a minute. All of a sudden lots and lots of steam start coming out from the front of the bike. Coolant leaking everywhere..... So I waited until the the temperature gadgets dropped a bit so I could ride home and when I did holding the clunch would make the engine accelerate.... So why did this happen? And what should I do about my bike? Any help would mean a lot thank you
The steam is caused by the sudden pressure rise in the system when it reaches boiling point and the spring seal under the cork lets it out.
The most obvious would be that the fan is not working. Check your fuses, check does the fan engage when the engine is too hot. If not, check does it get power, if not, check relay and thermistor etc... My F2 had blown a fuse and almost did the same, never found out why but it has worked ever since i changed it.

Clogged cooling system/ jammed thermostat then? is there excessive amounts of crap on the radiator fins to prevent it from working properly?
I`ve never heard of a motorbike with a broken water pump but I guess anything`s possible...
