yep that simple, all you do is jump the ignition harness, fortunately my harness is hidden and ziptied so it can't be undone.

Damned, wish I could have saw the video before it was removed.

Obviously nothing is full proof but I installed a Gorilla 8018 alarm and use a disk lock along with a steel cable attached to something pretty solid.

If someone really wants it they're gonna get it but at least I can make it as difficult as possible.

Also I'm sure there's nicer bikes around that are a lot easier to get a hold of so I feel somewhat comfortable with the precautions I've taken.

Gone in 30 secs is 4 guys, 2 pipes and a pickup truck. Short of chaining it down, they are all vunerable.

Hrrmm ... they need to make some kind of ignition system like the altima's have (the lil key fob lets it start up, without it ... it does nothing) ... they could hook the proximity sensor up directly into the ECU or something .. or at least put it deep inside the bike to where you'd have to tear it apart to get to it .... that sounds like a good idea to keep from doing what they did ..... no ignition module to bypass or disconnect and replace ...

but as far as picking it up and loading it into a truck or van ............. well ......... idk about that one ... :\
