Cool Double Bubble Swap

Well here it is! I just wanted to take a second and write up my thoughts and post some pics of the swap from the stock windscreen to the double bubble.

Thanks again Will.Bass

Let me just say, the difference is remarkably noticeable. With the stock windscreen, the wind seems to break right around my arm-pit to shoulder area while sitting erect (I'm 6ft). In order to get out of the wind, I really had to crouch down which we all know is not the most comfortable position for long periods of time.

Now, with the double bubble the wind breaks just at the top of my helmet while sitting fully erect. I felt like I was on my old cruiser! If I crouched down, the added height and distance towards the front of the bike, my helmet nestled in nicely and gave me a fantastic aerodynamic position. It just feels right...

Another nice piece of having the double bubble is the fact that you can get a much better view of your gauges. This gives you a better 'cockpit' feel in my opinion. Guys with the f4i swap will love this.

Now let's take a look at some Pictures!!!

Side-by-Side: (Can really see the difference in gauge viability)

Hope you enjoyed. Look forward to more write ups as I get to start working on the bike more often and pic up some more tricks and tips from the pros here.

That looks good! Where did you purchase it from? It would look good on my 96 F3...

I got it from a member on the forum. But, I'm certain if you went: Google > Zero Gravity Double Bubble > Search. You will find what you are looking for lol.

I found a few on Amazon, but I still unsure of the best places to be buying OEM or Aftermarket parts. Maybe a more experienced member may be able to direct to one of their 'Go To' sites?!?

I just bought one on eBay it was $35 shipped, I don't think that was too bad.

yea i dont like that look. that does not seem like double bubble- waaaay to big. Not a nice look, put the stock back on.

Zero gravitiy double buble is more only in the centre and runs up longer, not higher. That is for sure a china windsheild, I should know because when I ordered my kit it came with one; needless to say it is still collecting dust in my garage.

I would put the stock back on, that bike looks like it has downs syndrome. HAHA LOL

Wow man, lots of hate.

Personally, I don't think it looks that bad and the increased functionality far surpasses any (albeit minor) decrease in visual appeal.

I'm not sure what brand it is, but it very well may be a chineese version. I'm not positive on the differences between a zero gravity and this one. But, every single reason that I purchased the windscreen for has been fullfilled. For that, I consider this a complete success.

Next time, feel free to leave your belittling OPINIONS to yourself. Thanks.

a double bubble only comes up about half as high as yours.
but if you enjoy it, thats all that matters.
