Default Does my choke need adjusting?

I have a cbr600f3, and I have the airbox off right now, when I move the choke, it doesn't start moving the lever that is directly on the carbs until it is half open, should it be starting to move the carbs themselves right away, or is this correct?

I don't think it's a problem. There is a fair amount of slack in the cable which allows the chokes to return to their home positions. If you want to adjust it for less slack, loosen the cable clamp that holds onto the cable housing and move it a little to the right. The important thing is that it is able to fully actuate the choke as well as release it. There is only about 1cm of movement in the chokes.
