Default Does 900 RR front rim work on a 97 - 98 F3

I am in need of a front rim and all I can find are rims for 900 RR's. In the titles of these auctions and body of these auctions, they say that a 900 RR rim will work on a F3. I looked up the rim size and it is a 17" rim. I wasn't able to see what years the RR uses a 120/60/17 tire size. All I could find was 130/70/17. Is this possible to use a rim from a 900 RR? If so, what years?

In short...no. But....

The 900rr didn't switch to a 17 inch rim until 2000 I think....then it was the 929...? The wheel bearings are for a larger axle, but you can put F3 bearings/seals in instead. I think the rotors were 320mm instead of 296mm....but the mounting is the same if I'm right. EBC made 320mm oversize rotors for the F3 so I would surmise the 929 rotors will work. You don't want a 16inch wheel....it took honda 5 years to get the front end to work with the 16 inch wheel, and they finally conformed to the 17 anyway.

A VTR1000 or VFR750 front wheel (like 96-99) will fit....they had the same rotors and wheel bearings.

my $.02
