Differences between F3 1996 and F3 1997/1998
Hello, my name's TiJoz and I'm French, so I hope my english will be ok.
I've just a question about the 600 CBR F3 :
What is the differences between a F3 model of 1996 (PC31A TM) and the 1997/1998 model (PC31A VM/WM), except the rear parts ?
Thanks a lot...;-)

You speak better English than most here! Welcome!
The differences are as follow(US models)
White tachometer on the instrument cluster 97/98
Seat difference 97/98 will only line up with the 97/98 rear plastic
Rear plastic.
That's about it, buddy. Other than those things the bikes are indentical. Your Euro bikes may have a passenger grab bar on the 97/98's as well.

Actually there is more than that...they messed around with the ram air system and re mapped the ignition curves for better response through the rev range between the 96 and the later 97/98 models...result was a noticeable difference in midrange power...I've ridden them back to back so I know... :-)

The 97s came with different carbs than the 95-96.
The 98s came with the same carbs as the 97s and a revised cylinder head (MAL).Late in 98 Honda put another cylinder head on the F3s (MBZ).
I think the harnesses are different from 97-98,but don't quote me on that.
