Default Difference in tail fairings and tail light???

well,
i am puting together a 98 F3 that i got in pieces, and i just got some plastic from a 95 F3, and the front is all lining up perfect with the factory mounting tabs. the issue i am having is that the covers for the subframe are not. all the tabs are in the right position, but the issue is with the tail light. the plastic is longer than the light extends from the subframe. the tail light is from a 95, the subframe is from a 94, and i dont know what may be different between the years. i know the 94 is a F2, but the subframe was the same length as the 98, but since the 98 was a stunt bike when i got it, the subframe was hacked up, so i found one. the inner fender lined up prefect with the holes in the frame.
any suggestions would be great. i will post some pics tomorrow.
thanks

well,
i think i may have answered my own question. after searching on bikebandit, i see that the tail light is different on the 95/96, and the tail fairing that i have right now is from a 95. so, that is likely why the light looks funny around the body. the question that i still have is why does the seat hit the bracket?
thanks in advance...

95/96 f3 and 97/98 tails are different. so are the tail lights and seat. in order to have the nicer 97/98 fit your bike you will need to replace the tail light tail fairings ,seat and battery tray box .

well,
i have the battery box from a 98, i was planning on buying a body kit for it, so i will have the 98 body, i have what looks like the 98 tail light and bracket, so all i need is the seat. i suspect that the 97/98 is shorter in the passenger area? since the seat that i have lines up with the mounting bolts.
thanks
