Default decent all year tyre ?

ok so quick background got my bike tyres were brittle and ripped apart after couple 100 miles got some avon viper supersports which were awesome grippy i have been told by my dad who rode the bike with these on these were then used up after 4000 miles and got a set of pirelli diablo!

now these tyres are nice in the dry BUT when it rains they give up at like 6K rpm and it makes my life difficult especially when drifting sideways towards a mini-van at 70 mph!

running 160/60 back and 120/70 front.

would anyone recomend any tyres my dad keeps going on about bridgestone bt14's or something as i need something reliable cant be doing with always been on edge driving in even the smallest of wet!

thanks guys

depends on how much you have to spend

Best Bang for your buck:
Shinko 009's are my favorite. 120 front, and 170 rear. The rear is big enough to grip the road like a 180 while still fitting the rim comfortably. They last over 5000 miles easy, and grip the road well. The front has a rain groove as well, and grip the road quite well during the wet season. They corner well too, and as far as price goes, they are an excellent buy.

Got a few extra bucks to spend?
Get the Pilot Power 2ct. Amazing tires that are soft on the sides and hard in the middle, giving you the best of both worlds. They don't last as long as the shinkos, but they are amazing at gripping the road.

Michelin Pilot Road 3. I've ordered a set for myself for year round riding. The reviews seem very positive, they last forever, and are excellent in the rain

Default road 2's

I run 160/60 back and 120/70 front Pilot road 2's on my F3 had these before on an SV and they are awesome could have got road 3's at last tyre change but stuck with the 2's. Had Diablo's on my SV and although good in the dry not a patch on the 2's in the wet.

If you want more mileage then pilot road 2 or 3 would be your best choice, lots of people here recommend them for the cbr. I'm currently running pr2 but I wouldn't mind trying the pilot powers just for a little extra grip.
