Cutting off rear fender

Cutting off rear fender
I have a 98 cbr f3 and last month I cut the fender off and installed a license plate bracket and stuff.... anyways when I cut it I left the reflector part (just below the tail light) on there. I think it would look alot better removed. The only thing is it looks like if you cut that part off you will be exposing the tail light wires and everything. So has anyone cut that reflector part off? Also have any pics?

well i've been pulled over a couple of times but they havent said anything about it so i guess its not too bad. i've never been pulled over just because they couldnt see it but who knows, i'm sure someone will pull me over for it someday but i'll deal with that when it comes.

mine has an aftermarket storage place under the seat but the previous owner had installed that. i'm not sure if that makes any difference but you cant see the wires for anything with the plate off. all you see is the storage box. i cut it and glued the box up on an angle so it wouldnt hang down below the plastics and i think that helped it look less bulky. well as slim as a mid 90s bike can look anyway.

ya i love it. i bout it off ebay for like 60 or something a while ago. its a clear alternatives brand with the clear cover and the red leds. i already had the intergrater set up for my stock tail but it runs these too. the leds make the turn signals so much brighter i actually feel somewhat safe that im not gonna get my *** ran over.
