Default cracked side tail pieces

Hey I'm new here so bare with me..... I have a 1996 CBR 600f3 Smokin Joe's. Everything is almost flawless on the bike except the side tail pieces. They are chiped in the corners where they meet up with the tail-lite on the top( if that makes any sence). I would like to know if I can replace all of that with a newer ( 1998) under/tail piece ? What would I need ? Don't get me wrong, I do like the way it looks, just maybe it would look a little more finished off , not so boxy looking? Anyways..any help would be great! Thanks again! Hey 1 more question... how do I get a pic of my bike on this forum? It says it has to be under 20k? All mt pics are like 39 + Oh well .

Corona

ok 1st if you want to upgrade to a 97/98 tail you will need the tail section and the tail light . i dont believe you have to change the sub frame (anyone please correct me if im wrong)

and as far as your second question to get a pix . are you wanting to add a pix as your avatar or in your sig ? either way i believe there is a how to section that has walk throughs on all of this.. so WELCOME TO THE FAMILY , hopefully you learn alot and can contribute back . your best best is to become a forum junkie and sit in front of the comp screen for umpteen hours a day just reading as much as you can on here.. lol not really but reading and THE SEARCH TOOL will be your best bet. usually if you have a question it has already been asked. i know its hard sometimes but try and find the answer and if you need help still then ask

there's no need to change the subframe.. the 97/98 lock right up with the rest of the f3's.. you will need the new tail light tho and also the center section that goes above the light and between the two sides.. There are some places online that replacement parts that i believe will have the Smokin' Joe specific parts also, you can search for the sites in the forum and you'll find the addresses

^ i think you are correct. because i was lookin for a seat for my 98 and i found ones for i believe 91-96/ 97-98 so that would lead me to believe that 97,98 seats are different
