Default Could I have some help?

Sup forum, I have decided to sell my Suzuki M50 and move on to a sportier bike. I found a 1995 Cbr F3 on craigslist with 11k miles and in good running shape. I can probably get the price down to $2,000. Having not ridden a sportbike before is this a good buy? And how badly will I miss the fuel injection from my cruiser? Thanks in advance

2k is a pretty decent price as long as its all there. But f3's are still great bikes, and as long as the jetting is good you shouldnt miss the FI too much.

Could you elaborate on what "good jetting" means? And are the f3's pretty reliable?

by good jetting i mean it has been jetted for whatever filter/exhaust it has, basically if it runs smooth and doesnt sputter. And yes they are reliable, they do have their problems, main ones being CCT and R/R going bad, but both are real easy fixes that cost less than $50 each.

ride it above 5k rpm and it should make you need a new pair of undies so you wont miss fuel injection.

as for reliable check the kill switches (side stand, clutch and kill switch)
check the reg rec hasnt been meddled with or the stator.

these engines are solid i race a 50k mile engine and it hasnt gone pop yet

bomb proof apart from electronics but they are an easy fix solder a wire here scratch off some corrosion there
