Cooling issues. Water pump to blame?

Cooling issues. Water pump to blame?
I was putting my fuel pump in yesterday after running gravity feed for a while.
In the process I accidentally pulled off one of the coolant hoses. I was expecting coolent to come flowing out, but nothing did. My bike has been running hot, but I just figured it's because it's summer, but now I found out there is no circulation of coolant.
The reservoir is full like it should be. I haven't really done any more testing though.
I had a ton of electrical problems a while ago, so maybe the pump is burnt out.
Is the fuel pump powered by electricity or is it powered by the motor? And is there anything else that would cause coolant not to circulate?

The water pump is not electrical, and there's not much to it. As such, the only thing that really fails on them is the seals (and even that is rare), and if this happened, you'd be low on coolant. If the pump did break and lock up, you'd usually hear a squealing sound from the metal-on-metal as the engine attempts to turn the immobile axle. This isn't guaranteed, so you cuold actually have a bad pump.
You should have gotten SOME coolant out of that line, but not a ton. If you got absolutly none at all, check for a kinked line, maybe clamp that slipped down and is pinching the line. Failing that, check for mineral deposits in the coolant tank that may have built up if someone did a coolant \ water mix with some bunk water. Failing THAT, start pulling the hoses off and blowing them out until you find where the blockage is.
If that's all good, pull the pump off and try turning it by hand. If you can do THAT, then the problem is whatever in the engine turns it (don't know on this bike).
If the pump's bad, here's one for ya:
