Default RE: Coolant Question....

I started the bike on choke, left it in choke for about 10Min. (It was reving about 4KRPM)and saw green flued leaking on the floor. After I shut the engine off it stopped little by little.

What's the best way to diagnose? I have some ideas from scrufdor, just trying to get as much info as possible.

Thanks

sounds like it could be a weak water pump, failed thermostat, or the fan is not coming on, could be that the system just had to much fluid and it pushed it out of the reservoir,
where was the leak at? towards the front wheel or under the seat close to the rear wheel? or was it on the left side in front of the kick stand?
if it was by the kick stand on the left side i would say faulty water pump seal or hose,
if it was by the front tire i would say loose or faulty hose, or faulty fill cap
if it was by the rea5r tire under the seat i would say the over flow was just to full

try to look where the coolant is coming from and take a pic of it and maybe we could be of more help

I think it IS the fan. I haven't heard come on for a ong time. I was just thinking that the bike wasn't hot enough for it to kick on. How do test the fan and ifx if broken?

download this manual http://downloads.hondatech.info/Moto...CBR600%20F.zipits a large download around 146MB and thats in zip

extract the files which takes awhile.
once extracted open the file named f3_06_cooling its in pdf format it will tell you how to check the fan and fan switch and has pictures to help you identify the parts
