Cleaning carbs, Am i doing this for nothing ??
Ok so I'm pretty sure the carbs on my friends bike are gummed up bad. It's been in storage for 2 years, etc...
So I take apart the carbs. I unplugged/unscrewed everyting, main jet, etc, everything. Except for the pilot screw that is right above the 2 jets. I am soaking the carbs in thinner to clean them up, now am I doing this for nothing if i'm not removing the pilot screw? Does that have to be cleaned also if the carbs are gummed? I just didnt want to count the number of turns the screw does, and did not want to mess with the factory settings. But if I have to, to get the bike running, I will. Do do I take off the pilot screw??
Any inputs on this are appreciated
Thanks guys
Dominic
