Default chain and sprocket

Right now im running stock gears (15/43). Im looking to go plus 2 in the rear, will the stock chain still work, i was thinking it would but wanna make sure.

What is a good brand sprocket and place to purchase them?

Default Depends

How old are your chain and sprockets?

Is it a 530 or 520 set?

If there ready for replacement then upgrade to a 520 set and buy everthing at one time.

Try www.vortex.com.

I picked up my complete 520 set for $120.00.

I went +2 on the rear last year and noticed a small difference. The ****ty aluminum sprocket failed on me though 7 months later! I'm buying only steel sprockets from now on. I decided to go to a +3 rear sprocket for this year.

I have the stock 530 chain but with +2 in the rear (15/45). Both sprockets are 530 steel. I like difference over stock and I wouldn't personally go higher in the rear without a speedo-healer.

Oh man, that really sucks. Looking at the bike, it's hard to imagine you walked away without any injuries. Very fortunate I'd say. Have you had a chance to look it over and determine if it's repairable ? Did she have insurance ?
