CBRF3 No Tach&cant ride out of 1st gear
Ok sooooo I JUST got finished cleaning out the carbs 3 times not but a month or two ago after a couple months down time cause I was being lazy. But got the bike running again perfectly. Or so u thought....
Rode it to the park like maybe a mile or two down the road in 50 degree weather and sunny and parked it, came back to it and ride home 45 mins later. When I got back on and rode. I noticed my tach was no longer working and I couldn't ride more than roughly 6000-7000rpms in first with out the bike powering on and off the throttle on its own like a newb on a bike with a touchy throttle and doesn't know how to use it. And if I try and go to 2nd well u can just forget that it will do the same throttle thing at any RPM.
Any ideas?!

Double check the throttle position senser, on the left of the carb-bodys.
That lets the ICU know where the throttle is.
Never hurts to go through all of the connectors...
Cleaning, assuring connections and packing them with di-electric grease.
Keep an eye out for pinched, damaged wires.
With that out of the way, you can then start exploring other possibilitys,
but first, assure the health of the basic harness.
The tach issue may or may not be related to the stumble.
My 98F3 tach just gave it up at 19k.
I went to F4i guages, with no problem.
While it is possible the carb work you did is the root of your issue,
it might be some other component. Sometimes a bad r/r will exhibit
a lot of similar symptoms.
That's why I recommend a complete harness inspection first.
Here's a few great links to get a handle on the entire electrical/charging system...

ok yea i'm familiar with that connection so i will give that connection a double glance and if i see any imperfections i'll get a new cable first i'm sure that'd be cheaper :P
cause i did have to go at that plug pretty good to get it disconnected to take my carbs out. (not the plastic plug at the carbs but where it extends and plugs into the bike's harness on the side of the frame)
