CBR600F3 carb rebuild. knocked over parts separation. help!!!!!!

Question CBR600F3 carb rebuild. knocked over parts separation. help!!!!!!

Hey fellers and femmes. new here. Ill keep it factual. bought a 96 cbr600f3. project bike. time to service carbs, plugs, tune up to get the party started. dismantled all 4. put anything plastic in a ziplock, and anything brass or steel, in an SS bowl with carb cleaner. was meticulous about separation and cylinder numbers. roped off a barricade around the bike. Act of god strikes, grandfather knocks it all over. ive separated into groups of 4 but have no clue on cylinder correspondance. also Im missing one jet.

What is the best course of action?
Are there specs i can reference to get them to their proper homes?
Should i start over with a kit due to the lost jet?

any help is much appreciated. i know your time is precious.

1st, go easy on grandpa. I am a pawpaw myself. It happens. :-)
2nd, it really doesn't matter too much what goes into what carb with the exception of the main jet on certain years. On certain years of f3's (don't remember which ones right now, 1 and 4 are one size and 2 and 3 are another. But this isn't true of all years. Other than that, you should be ok. When you dial in the carbs it will even out any variations.

If the jets are different sizes, the bigger ones are for cylinder 2 & 3.

Thanks so much for the replies guys. Coal miner frank, you read my mind and answered my next question. Thanks. My next question is this. Does "size" refer to length, or hole diameter? Also, where to get the missing part? Kit online, or can I get it by itself OEM at a parts house?

+1 on what Conrice recommends. Also, in case you haven't seen it yet, the size to which we are referring should be engraved on the side of the jet. It can be kind of hard to see sometimes but it's there.

I think I did notice the engraving, but I paid it no mind. Great info peeps. Thanks so much. Great first experience on this forum.

Final question. The jets are the only things not interchangeable, between cylinders, correct? Float bowls, floats, float pins and valves, are all the same right? My vacuum chambers, needle jets, diaphragms and springs didn't get mixed So I'm straight there. Thanks again

The bike came from the factory with bigger jets in cylinder 2 & 3 because those cylinders are sandwiched between other cylinders which makes them run hotter than cylinder 1 & 4 that are exposed to air on one side. So by 2 & 3 having the bigger jets, the extra fuel is a way to cool them a little. I'm not sure if you were to buy a jet kit from DynoJet or Factory Pro if the kits follow that same thinking.

I know that Jetsareus breaks them out properly, at least they have in my experience.
