Default CBR600 Shift Drum Cam

Hello. I have a 1996 CBR600SE and I needed to replace my shift drum and at least one shift fork. I ended up buying a complete transmission for a great price. When the transmission arrived, it came with a shift drum which had a different cam then the one presently on my bike. To me it seems that the shift drum itself and shift forks are identical. Can anyone identify what year the new shift cam is from and if it is compatible with my 1996 CBR600SE. It is very likely, that I can simply change the cam on the new shift drum to but I'd like to know for myself anyways.

If you look at the attached pictures; the one with the shorter, sharper peaks is the one that arrived today and the one with the longer rounded peaks is the cam which is original to my engine.

I have my theories on the years but I won't list them right away as to not influence any answers that you might post.

Man, I was looking around to see what that might have come from and I just can't find anything. I was thinking it might have been the Factory Pro Shift Star, but I don't think it is. You can take the star off and put on the one from your bike.

I looked all over the place too. I thought it might be from a shift kit as well at first but I think it is from 1997 CBR600F3.

You know what, mine is laying around. I'll look for it in the pile of parts and check it out.

The first picture is the same one that came out of my 97. Also if anyone needs shift forks I now have a surplus on them I will have 1 left 2 middle and 2 rights.

Don't know why they did that. I might have to take the clutch all the way apart again since the bike will not go into first gear I will take a picture for ya if you still need it.

Ok i took the clutch cover off to rebuild the clutch to fix my problem but I didn't take the shift fork out but I did verify that the 97 and 98 F3's have this
