Cbr racing.
Well guys. Iv just regestered with this forum im after some in depth knowledge as to how to maximize the bhp from my 1996 cbr f2 I think. Iv just bought it it bits and need to be rebuilt. Before I do that what can I do to get as much from it as possible. I plan on racing it next year in the pre injection class in ireland. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

means on a race track.
'road course' in the us, but that means something different over there since they actually race on public roads.
anyway, not sure on your budget, but if money's no option then port/polish the head and get different cams, just dont do one without the other or you'll be wasting time and money. Exhaust, jetkit, and a dynotune are a must no matter what.
is the bike completely apart? theres alot you can do to save weight. do some searching on here, someone had an f2 they raced and they shed 20 or so lbs off it i do believe.

Yes we race on closed public roads in ireland but we also race on purpose built tracks. Im talk about purpose built track racing. e.g. mondello park.
And the bike is completly striped to bare frame and engine is the same. Do you know what jets are best to use, size wise. And I dont mind spending money to get maximum results.

Just to note I have the head ported and polished and the crank has been lightened and balanced already. Im assuming the next step is just set up carbs, upgrade front forks and brakes and lighten the frame. Any ideas how I do that as it a solid steel frame. Any1 know if its possible to cut off sub frame and fit alloy one.
