carbs are being cleaned now//kn filter?
carbs are being cleaned now in the shop. it use to die when i opened the throttle all the way when in neutral... or even in first gear.. so i changed the filter out and put in a stock filter and it still had that problem. so i took it in the shop to get the carbs cleaned even though they were cleaned but maybe some vacuum hoses were bad... after 1st gear the bike ran good but im hopin the carb cleaning will fix the problems. should i put back in that kn filter or just leave it at stock??? also, is it a big difference getting these carbs cleaned out and tuned???
also, does it matter what grade of gas to use.. ive switched from 87 eth.. to premium w/ no difference but just wondering which one the bike is rated for?

The K&N is not going to provide you any additional benefit. In fact I've seen dyno reports posted on this site that show less performance with one installed on a virtually stock bike. Stick with the stock filter. As for gas, our bikes run just fine on regular. There is no reason to spend the extra $ on premium. If it hasn't been done yet, getting the carbs synchronized is a good idea as well. It has a higher impact on performance in the low end rather than on the high end.

It says right on a sticker on the subframe to use only 91+ octane. And because the f3 is 12.0:1 compression ratio, you must use 91-94 octane. It's a race bike with ram air, not your 250cc ninja...
Carburetors cleaned and synchronized properly will make you run smooth from startup to redline.

A note on octane: My tank is right around 4.5 gallons so for me I spend the extra 45 cents to go with the good stuff. Does it make that much of a difference? Probably not, but she's 11 years old and deserves it. I'll skip the supersize at McD's once in awhile and spend it on the F3 instead of my waistline. Just a thought...

carbs still dont seem right
so the carbs are clean but the bike doesnt seem clean yet... still hestitates very slightly when starting in first. and also a bit in higher rpms.. cannot pop a wheely on this bike yet.... and i drive pretty safe i dont do stupid stunts like that alot but i tried.... what do i tell the shop about this..? that it stills sputters slightly? when i got it back, he said the air/fuel needles were off and clogged..
