Default Carbs of a 96 f3 on a 98 f3?

hi there!is it possible to put the carbs of a 96 f3 on a 98 f3? Would it drive just fine?
I think there is little difference in function and design I noticed that the model numbers of the parts are slightly different. I would also have to mount the boots of a cbr 600 96 on it.

Well, no one has answered you so I'll give my uninformed 2c.

The carbs themselves would probably work.

BUT

EFI is not typically just about fuel, but fuel and spark control. I don't know the EFI system, having not owned one, but the spark map would probably not work well without the sensors in place-typically an intake air temp sensor, throttle position sensor (the carbs hove one-not sure on compatability), map/maf sensor etc.

You will probably eliminate some or all of these with removal of the throttle bodies.

Then there is the fuel pump etc. (Possibly different pressure etc).

Are you missing parts, or would you just rather have carbs?

The F3 doesn't have EFI - it's carburated.

Hmmm. Good point.

K nmind.

Might be different bores or jets. I would think it would work if you tuned it. There must be info on the changes somewhere.

I suspect they should work fine. If needed, you may need to do some minor tuning.
