Default Bypassing the Air Vent Solenoid Valve?

ok i've been searching around and i see that alot of people that have race F3's are bypassing the air vent solenoid valve somehow.

my bike is sputtering alot and won't do anything above 3rd gear. I know that this is my problem because i pulled my tank and i have absolutely ZERO parts of the D.A.I. system on my bike. I have the ram air box that runs into the two large tubes that connect to the air box but i have none of the tubing that go from the front of the bike to the air solenoid valve and then into the carbs.

I'm looking for a way to pull this off under $150, which is what it's gonna run me to get all of that tubing and the solenoid and everything.

anybody know how to bypass this solenoid?

I've looked into it some but heard for street riding(Like if you plan to drop below 9kRPMs) it's not practical. Also that you loose a lot of your lower end and midrange. I'm not sure though because I had this conversation a long long time ago

If you check ebay or Motorcycle Junkyards you should be able to find everything you need for super cheap. F3s where the GSXRs of the 90s. Which mean there are a ton of wrecked ones laying around.

Just curious but does it act like this...

kind of, but not really.

I can rev up in neutral with no problems all the way to redline. But my bike doesn't have problems in first or second. my problem is really in 3rd or higher gears, it won't go anywhere in the higher gears. Also, my bike rarely stalls out but it will slow down to about 20-35 until it picks up again.

anybody else know how to do this?

I was thinking about what you said and it doesn't make any sense to me. If you think about it, all those hoses do is open up and allow the carbs to have fresh air above 12 mph. By allowing them to have fresh air constantly it shouldn't matter much at all, and the 9k rpm idea wouldn't even come into play because the system isn't rpm actuated it's mph actuated.

either way, anybody else know how to do this?

The tubes are more to do with pressure than allowing air in. Something about your floatbowls work off of them. Again I can't recall because I had this conversation a long time ago and the mechanic(Who use to race F2s and F3s years ago) told me to keep them. If it was a California model F3 that might make a difference.

Don't worry. I'm sure someone on ehre will know for sure.
