brake light assembly??

How is your brake light assembly connected to the frame??
i hade some home made brackets (didnt know about it till after i bought it) made out of aluminium. Both of the brackets broke and the light was hanging by the wire and bouncing up and down off of the tire.
how are your brake light assemblies connected/attached to the frame?? i went into the dealer and they had no idea what the hell i was talking about.

could someone post up pics or maybe even direct me into the right direction?
