brake bleed job gone bad...

I tried to bleed my brake fluid this past weekend and ran into problem with front right caliper. I had a friend pump the brake about 20 times and then hold the lever while I open up the bleeder valve to let the old fluid out. I learned this method from one of the thread on the forum, and it worked well on the rear and front left, but on the front right caliper the fluid kept flowing back after I close the bleeder valve for some reason.
I think the problem may be the bleeder valve nut because the edges have stripped quite a bit and it was hard to get a good grip to either tighten or loosen it. Is this something easily replaced? Or is there a bigger issue than a stripped nut??
Prior to this DIY, the brakes worked fine, just had some old old old fluid...

let me get this straight. you tried to close (tighten) the R bleeder screw and the fluid kept flowing out? did you tighten the bleeder screw fully, or does it just spin in the caliper? i would buy another bleeder screw first. then rebleed the entire front brake system. if the bleeder screw just spins inside the caliper, you might have to re-tap the threads as well as get a new bleeder screw.
and make sure you use the correct wrench size as to not strip the head on the bleeder screw next time.
i just flushed my brake system this weekend. piece of cake.
