Default Bored with the F3 headlight

I've searched the web a lot about changing the style of my headlight. I like the single light but I was hoping some company made a replacement that would look similar to the newer chargers headlights. Does anyone know of a company? or have any ideas on how i could possibly make one? it's just an idea to keep me from falling asleep at work...lol

Something like this........... (but a single bulb)

not quite sure the look youre going for? the charger's light as in a tinted dark background with a clear lense?

to my knowledge, no aftermarket headlight is available ( i could be wrong, but i searched for one myself a couple months ago before deciding on a streetfighter headlamp assembly ).

the thing with the charger headlight is that its a dark background, with a clear lense to allow you to clearly see it. our stock f3 headlights have that glass that has diffusers in it, or what ever you want to call it... so its not clear. get what im sayin? i was tryin to think of a way to modify it yourself, but your limited to the fact the glass isnt clear, so if you spray the inside of the housing black, you wouldnt see the headlight stand out too much (plus the mirrored housing helps amplify and project the light).

the ONLY way i can think of doing it, is by painting the inside of the housing a gunmetal color (i think black would be too dark) and mask off a circle around the lightbulb to immitate a housing, and get yourself a pane of glass. then score the glass to the exact size that mounts up to the headlight. you could use the brass retaining clips to hold it in place. if you look at it, the factory glass sits out about 1" from the housing, so you would have to space your headlight out to make it flush with the fairings. hid's might be in store to make it brighter, since you wouldnt have the mirrored housing anymore.

i was thinking about attempting a go at building one myself, I would go with a HID kit since that's how the charger lights are set up anyways, plus I'm pretty much blind at night. I just like the look of the clear lens with a black backing a lot more than the mid ninety's foggy glass. I'll let you know if i find a way.

LOL, no worries mang ... I was aiming at espelade the whole time. I just mentioned the 900rr cause these parts could be cheaper (Used, crashed bikes), and I personally fancy the look of the mid/late '90 900RR

This way you could use pre-existing fairings and headlight cluster ... just an idea

I was considering the 900rr headlamp for a while. I was just afraid that that large of a headlight would make my F3 look like it was grinning like the Joker.
