Default Body kit

Hi All,
New to the site and the wonderful world of the CBR. My name is Justin and I live in Toledo Oh. I just got a 1995 F3 it has 19000 miles but I thought that 1000 bucks was a good deal. I have been told that the body if off a 98, its red and black in color. The left rear is missing and the rest of the body is a little rashed up. My wife got me this bike for my birthday/Christmas gift. What I am looking for is a complete set of street plastics the tank is in good shape so i don't want to repaint, I was hoping that I could just pull off the old and slap on a new body kit but they are very hard for me to find. Does anyone out there have any idea where I can get a body kit that is painted and ready to go without spending OEM prices? I found a guy in Hong Kong that sells complete kits but I don't know what years will fit. I assume that if my bike is a 95 and it has 98 plastics on it now that any year in between will work but I don't want to buy the kit for 300 and pay 220 for shipping and be wrong. Any help that you guys can offer would be wonderful!

The 95-98 F3 fairings are the same, if your going to replace the whole lot, then no problems.
There are a lot of different coloured fairings out there though, the European/Aussie ones are different to the USA/Canada. A lot of guys that have posted with similiar questions usually get directed to Ebay. Post up a pic if you can, so we can, congratulate you on your wise choice of bike & maybe someone else here can direct to place to get yer bits.
Wot your looking for though, is the solid colour, as the decals can be got to match the ones on the tank (although fiddly to put on)

To clarify, the fairings are not painted, their polished ABS plastic.

Thats some awesome news, i just bought a 1995 f3 last week and was just about to ask the same question when i saw this thread. I love the look of the smokin joes fairings and plan to grab a set to replace my faded old std fairings, for $600 odd australian dollars off ebay they're a bargain.

For you guys wanting to put 97-98 plastics on your bikes. You guys may all ready know this but the tail sections changed from 95-96 to 97-98.

Hay mhonda98 I see that you said that the 97-98 has a different tail than that of the 95 so is it a one piece instead of the three piece that comes on a 95? This is what is messing me up like I said the bike is a 95 but it has 98 plastics on it now (with a 3 piece tail) if I get a 3 piece tail for a 98 it should bolt right up, right?

If your bike has 98 fairings on it..i assume it has a 97-98 taillight as well.. The taillights on the 95-96 are boxy, the 97-98 are rounded. That will fit if you have a 97-98 tail light. If you dont, and you still want that kit, all you have to do is get a 97-98 style tailight and call it a day.
