I got these off ebay and the throttle side bar end won't work!

if i install it with the rubber on there it expands and won't let the grip twist, if i install it without it threads in to to the bar end too far and won't let it twist smoothly... wtf. i thought someone on here said they had used these and the seller says they work on F3's as well.

 

I got a set from him for the 954 and they were fine? I do not know why you are having a prob?

 

I haven't used those bar ends but if it were me I would either cut down the grips, or maybe get a spacer andlonger bolt if necessary.

 

those bar ends are not for stock clipons. they are for hollow tube clipons. Thats what the problem is.[:-]

 

[align=left]hey ptownsi, i bought the same exact ones and had the same problem. on the throttle side, the ends are made to thead in a certain way because what plafulgod is saying. I cut a washer in half and put it in there and then spaced it with a rubber bushing i tightend ddown against it. there is not a noticable gap and the throttle does not stick. look in the the right side of the bar and you will prlly see what im talking about. good luck!
