bad gas?
I had a problem starting the bike before,i had to turn the throttle a couple times to get to turn over when it was cold.was doing it for about 3 months was told i needed my carbs cleaned..mechanic told me it was like 250 to get it cleaned.
Then somebody else told me they got lucas oil you can pour in your tank to help your carbs out.I tried that first.the problems got worse. After the bottle the bike has been a bitch to try to get to turnover.it take so long to tunover (if it does) it kills the battery trying

A lot of things can cause you're bike to do that, carb's for sure, bad petrol (old or polluted), plugs fouled or old, lead's/coil's & dirty air filter to name but a few.
1st of, check you're plugs & see what sort of condition their in, their colour around the electrode may give you some indication of petrol/carby issues (rich/lean or fouled). A good carbie clean & tune is expensive but it's not something you have to get often & if done properly, will transform you're bike into the weapon it is. Having to spend time starting the bike puts a lot of strain on components & you're battery.
