Default anyone else done this? (body work)

i got a 96 f3 and the tail fairings under the seat and the little piece above the tail light are 3 pieces total, which you all probly knew. anyways i was thinking of making it all one piece with a fiberglass kit. its seems pretty easy to do just lay a couple pieces of fiberglass cloth with resin where they meet in back of the seat, sand down, and repaint. i was just wondering if anyone else has done this before, and how did it go? also does it make it harder to take this, now 1 piece, tail fairing off? Should i go thru this work or just get a 1 piece tail section off of ebay, i think its called cheetah or somthin on ebay.. but i think ill need a new tail light if i get that, not sure tho. but yea any comments or tips would be of much help, thanks

Don't do it unless you plan on ****ing it up everytime you need to get your fairings off. Yeah the little 3 piece systema back there leaves a bit to be desired but still...

I've done it on some old plastics and looked great... until I had to take it off for the first time (putting it on was a bitch, too). It cracked a lil' more everytime I took it off, put it on.

If you really like that idea, find a solo racing rear plastic piece - they're cheap and look good, just paint and go.

It will crack just from road and engine vibration. I tried to repare a crack in my plastics the same way and the vibration eventually just breaks it apart. I ended up using that epoxy glue stuff that comes in two tubes and you mix em together and its stong as ****. It doesn't look nearly as good but its flexible so it doesn't crack.

As for that gayness on the tail. I got a targa seat cow that covers it all. Looks much better too.
