Another Carb Question

https://cbrforum.com/forum/members/t...arbs-18091.jpg

Ok, Here is the problem on my 96 600 F3: On the #3 carb, fuel is flooding out of #1 area and I can see little droplets of fuel coming out of #2 where the needle moves up and down.
The bike bogs down when throttle is applied, and doesn't run well at all.
Also, I had fuel in the air tubes at #3, which i assume is flooding up through the hose I've marked #4. The air filter? at #5 was also wet with fuel and the interior foam? has disintegrated and is now just empty after I cleaned all the little bits of crud out.
I've had the carbs off for cleaning; jets off, vac needle off, floats out and valves checked, compressed air through the other holes. I would greatly appreciate any and all advice on why the #3 carb is flooding into the air hoses.

Thx in advance,
TC

Carb float isn't shutting off. Test by flipping carbs upside down (preferably removed from the engine) and blowing into the fuel feed lines.

and make sure that your slow jets are ACTUALLY clean. i had to use a guitar string with ALOT of pressure to free all of mine up...

Thanks for the replies. I did the turn it over trick last time I had them off and I couldn't blow through them. I'll have to make time to pull the apart and clean them individually...

Thanks again guys!
TC

Great idea! Two of mine were plugged and so I used a sewing needle but it doesn't pass all the way through so I'm not sure they are 100% clear. Will the guitar string fit in the diffuser holes on the sides?

Umm, what's that..? lol

but yea, as far as the guitar string method, I just cut part of a .07-.09 string off. Once it broke through, i was able to go back and forth all the way through it..

I had some cooper oxidation in the slow jet of carb # 3 on my F2, it was amazing how the idle and throttle response changed after I cleaned and sync them. I cleaned the slow jet with red magnetic wire from RadioShack (only thing i had small enough). I would agree that the floats are stuck and I had the same issue. Just need to reclean it.

Hi guys
When i was driving yesterday my buggy suddenly ran out of fuel.
I refilled the tank and tried to start, but I noticed the fuel was pouring out of line nr 4 (see pic above) Is this the fuel return line?
This line was never connected to anything on my engine, I have a different fuel pump (size of a small soda can)

Any Idea what caused this issue?
