Also I have a 97 CBR...where do I add oil? DO I have to take off fairing? OR do I add through same hole of dipstick?

If you're asking where to add the oil you should be bringing your bike to someone to have it worked on. Don't hurt yourself.

 

Do you have a owner's manual? It would help out a ton.

 

Well yeah first bike, so Im clue less! No offense taken....Im a proud newbie and i ride like a 10 year old (for now)

I know Im going to drop it too and its a shame cos it has a fresh paint job! lol

But Im trying hard to be conservative for now, so I learn slowly...

Hey Sean, it's a valid question for a new rider. Just add through the dipstick hole. Make sure that the o-ring from the dipstick doesn't fall down into the hole (guess how I know about this). Also, I'd suggest using a new washer (aluminum) on the oil pan drain bolt and a torque wrench set to the correct torque value. It's easy to overtighten the drain bolt and crack the oil pan (guess how I know about this) - actually, the previous owner did this one but I had to fix it. It's possible to change the oil without removing any fairings.
