afternoon bogging
My f3 has treated me so well this season... at least until we started seeing 100 degree weather here. She rides fine in the morning, but in the afternoon it boggs down when starting from a stop until about 3-4k rpm then takes off also if i hold at a constant throttle for an extended period then try to give her some more.... It also seems to run a little less smooth in the afternoons. The temp guage isn't showing hot and it wasn't doing this after an hour of hard riding when the temp guage was 1/3 way up durring the cooler months.....any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is, CA models have fuel evaporative purge systems. They gather fuel vapor and store it into a big ugly canister. When the bike is warm and just off idle, it starts to purge the vapor from the canister into the fuel tank. Normally you would not notice this happening, but if your canister is full of vapor or has liquid in it, this can cause an over-rich condition in the low throttle range. Canisters can get this way from topping off the gas tank at fill-ups. You can try to temporarily disconnecting the canister and run the bike to see if you can sense a difference.
