Default 98 or 97 OEM Jet Needle Number

I'm looking for the number that is on the top of a 1997 or 1998 Carburetor Jet Needle. It's item #3 here. The earlier F3's are not the same as the later ones, so if you have a '95 or '96 it won't be correct. I have lots of photo's of carburetors and it's components and I'm just trying to verify it. If you've installed a Jet Kit, maybe you still have the old ones laying around. Oh yea, it's not the California model either. I know, I'm being picky, but you know what they say, if it's almost right, it's wrong.

Any photo's would be great.

Thanks...

Yea, but I'm not sure of your point (and I'm not trying to be smart about it). There are plenty of places to look up the item and get the part number, but I'm wanting to know how I can identify it if I were holding it in my hand. They all look the same but there are subtle differences in them. The 1996 looks exactly like the 1998, but it's not the same part number, so it's not the same.

Now I understand, its times like these I wish I'd forked out the big $$'s for genuine Workshop manual

It's not in the manual, I have one. It's only visible on the top or side of the head of the jet Needle.

Yeah so do I, but I was talking about the proper workshop bible (I paid $300 for one the for my Beemer & that was in 1986) Clip out binder, came complete with microfiche & fold out diagrams longer than the bike.
Which gives makes me think that maybe your local Honda dealer may have that info?
