any problem with the charging system that the previous owner might know about ? like the reg/rec?

 

none that they know of. I guess I will know for sure when i get it running and can get my multi meter on there to see if it is charging.

 

did anything ever develop from your situation?

 

i found that I could get the bike to turn over if I pulled the wires from the clutch switch and grounded them on the handlebar. The switch seems to work though. I am pulling the engine on this bike anyway since it is a fixer uper so I will trace the wiring to see where the problemn is.

oh yeah...especially when the previous owner has hacked in a bunch of his own crap that I Have to try and figure out. Found a wire coming off the right side of the engine yesterday that is just snipped. Black and yellow wire coming out on the right...out of the engine casing.
