sounds like maybe your coils are going bad ... when they heat up .. the resistance in them is going up......... causing a no spark situation....

But you said you fixed the crank issue but the intermittent spark issue still persists....... so you said it worked then stopped working .... so if your not getting any spark... check all the wiring to do with the ignition system....

thanks but you are mixing both question up.
i fixed the 1st issue no crank from the start switch or button.
now that is fix. now i'm trying to resolve the 2nd issue intermitten spark
what would cause that more the r/r or the ignition control module.??

Sounds like a problem with your pulse generator. Check the service manual for the proper resistance, and measure it when its warmed up. The resistance WILL change as it heats up, and this is when most pulse generators fail.

ok i can't get the bike to start so all the components
are ice cold so the theory of parts failing under heat does not apply here.
i check the diode rectifier and i get 0.411 is that good.???

. . .Are you referring to the R/R? And .411 what? Ohms? Volts? You've got 5 lines comming out of that thing, how did you get ONE reading? Was the bike running, or off when you did this? Please be more descriptive with your testing proceedures and findings.

i have no idea why i was told to check the r/r when all that is for the charging system. so i guess the 2 items that i should look for for no spark would be ignition pulse generator and ignition control module and maybe coils.
is there a way to test these 3 item.??
