Default 96 cbr 600 f3

I just got a 96 CBR 600 F3 from my brother and its got quite a few things that need work. When you put it in gear, with or without the clutch engaged, the bike stalls. I was wondering if anybody had any idea what it might be before I go ahead and replace the clutch.

Is the side stand down? There is a kill on the stand to prevent a pogo on a left turn.
Check the switch on the clutch lever, the side stand and the neutral sensor.
Replacing the clutch is not a likely solution.

Hope this helps, Ern

Yeah I had it down but now the bike isn't starting. I took the battery in to Autozone and they said that it's drained. Any idea what might be causing it?

okay then go to my threads there is one from awhile back were i had the kill switch on my side stand go wrong there is a guide there on how to check this and it might be in a haynes manual i cant really remember whether it was from haynes or the other manual found on steffy g's site.

anyways check the electricals at your saide stand switch, and your clutch switch.

cant find the diagram after looking for 10 minutes so here is a quote
"You want to connect the green wire (ground) to the Green/White wire to tell the bike the stand is in the Up position all the time."
