'95 head vs '98 head ---differences?
So pretty much I'm wanting to ask, what are the actual mechanical differences between the heads? I know the OEM number is different, but that sometimes doesn't mean anything.
Would a '98 head fit on a '95 engine and not mess anything up?
Where it the OEM number on the actual head to tell which year it is?
I know the '98 engines have slightly more hp than a '95, so would running a '98 head on a '95 help the performance?
Or is there even any true difference?
Thanks in advance!

this may help a some its a tech write up they dont list specifics but they do list ignition mapping and that could make the power increase.
according to what ive read the 95-96 had 100 hp 36.8 ft lbs torque
and the 97-98 had 105hp 48.7 torque.
id say ignition mapping would do that.
as for if the bolt patterns are the same and they will bolt up they all use same head gaskets so i dont see why they wouldnt.
