I wouldn't suggest putting a 180 on there I went with the 170 and im happy I don't ride track days anymore with my f3 so im not sure how it handles on the track but on the street it's fine I got mine mounted for 10 balanced for 5

I have a 180 on my bike also.. fits fine, but I'm looking to switch to a 900RR 5.5" wheel to work better with that tire size..

Well, I first read about this on CBRworld.net, and there's a guy there that says he did it. He had to make the left spacer thinner, and had to grind some off the caliper mounting bracket. so.. A friend of mine has a bent wheel, im gonna check it out this weekend for mock-up, and then I'll prolly buy a new one, once I have it fitted.

How are you guys fitting a 180 or a 190? My 170 rear tire is damn near hitting the chain and the swing arm arm. I don't think I could fit anything wider without it rubbing...[sm=WTFsgign.gif]

Welp.. My 98 has had 180's on it since i got it.. I have about 10 or 15mm clearance on the chain, and like 30-40mm on the right side of the swinger.. Maybe your wheel isnt straight?

I kinda thought the 180 wouldnt fit either when i first went to it from 170, but its all good.. cant get rid of the chicken strips tho.. still has like 3/4 inch of them, even after draggin the pegs around the twisties...

So I just went and measured and I have about 4 mm clearance on the chain side and about 7 on the swing arm side. I was wrong about running a 170 though. I'm actually running a Dunlop Sportmax D208 160/60/R17 and my rear wheel is straight and true. I might be able to get away with a 170, but no way in hell is a 180 or a 190 going to fit without drastically changing the aspect ratio(down to about a 50 or maybe even a 45) and possibly mounting the wheel at a sligh angle so it clears the chain. But in doing that, it not only loses power, it also loses handling ability because even riding straight, you would be dogwalking. I'm sorry but I just don't see that fitting on my particular bike. I'll try to get some pictures up later, but it's snowing right now so I can't really take the bike out. What aspect ratio is everyone running on their 170's?
